About the Hatching Ideas Hub

Hatching Ideas is a research lab headed by Dr. Simon Hatcher, Full Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at The University of Ottawa. Our program of research focuses on clinical trials for mental health disorders in under-served populations. Our research includes the use of technology in clinical populations, service delivery and non-pharmacological interventions. We are particularly interested in involving people with lived experience as collaborators in research. The lab is currently running trials in men who self-harm, First Responders with post-traumatic stress disorder, and the vulnerably housed. To find out more, please review our Research Studies and Prevention Programs.
